I’ve proposed a panel for SXSW 2009 on Edupunk and the Open Source movement and I need your help. Sessions decisions are partially based upon voting, and now that their Panel Picker is live you can help send Jim Groom (the father of edupunk himself!), myself (to rave about ScholarPress) and other stellar panelists to the Austin, TX. It will only take you a minute. If you’re not familiar with Edupunk yet, read about it. So here’s my session pitch:
DIY teachers around the world are using open source course management systems, open access textbooks, and other open source tools to buck the chains and limitations of corporate education software. This panel of edupunks will rock the show by discussing the movement, its challenges, and its future.
